Welcome to Cine-Cena evenings at Espai EGG, combining cinema screenings with food inspired by the film.

In this special Christmas edition, we will be screening one of cinema's greatest loved films, It's a Wonderful Life. The 1946 fantasy drama revolves around George Bailey, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and how different life in his community of Bedford Falls would be had he never been born.

After 10 years of hard work and setbacks, Pakistani immigrant and street seller Rafi begins to utilise his culinary skills. Away from his nights on the streets selling samosas, Rafi spends his days moulding a new business for his bright future in the city. 

Following the short documentary, protagonist Rafi will create a Pakistani dining experience with a selection of traditional dishes and curries.

Nuestro cuerpo es un ecosistema, que funciona mejor cuando esta poblado por una multitud de microorganismos buenos. En este taller te enseñaremos como preparar tus propios encurtidos utilizando verdura de temporada y ecológica y como cultivar aquellas bacterias que refuerzan tu sistema inmunitario y así poder tener unos snacks deliciosos durante todo el año.

El taller tiene una parte teórica y una practica, cada estudiante preparará su proprio encurtido para llevarse a casa.

En este taller vamos a aprender a preparar una verdadera pizza de masa madre.

Empezaremos con un poco de teoria sobre las harinas que hay que utilizar, el aceite y el agua, donde comprar los ingredientes, utilizando el menos plástico posible, los tiempos de fermentación y de cocción. 

Aprenderemos como preparar y mantener la masa madre.
Para luego "mettere le mani in pasta" y que cada uno prepar su propia pizza.

También prepararemos algunas salsa y os enseñaremos como hacer un cremos queso ricotta, que le darà un toque especial a la pizza.

Taller de Pasta Fresca

Los gnocchi y la pasta son dos recetas que en diferentes formas han acompañado la humanidad por siglos, siendo parte fundamental de las dietas de culturas diferentes y muy lejos una de la otra. 

La tendencia es pensar que son recetas complicadas que requieren mucha técnica, en este taller te enseñaremos como preparar estos platos con simplicidad, utilizando productos locales y ecológicos, acompañando todo con sonrisas y vinos biodinámicos.

La clase estará impartido por los cocineros Alberto (Italiano) y Ella (Australiana) de Bear on Bike. Con un enfoque en ´slow food´ usan ingredientes locales, de temporada y ecológicos, y trabajan hacía una cocina sin desperdicio.

The tendency is to think that they are complicated recipes that require a lot of tecnique, in this workshop we will show you how to prepare these plates simply, using local and organic products, accompanied by good vibes and biodynamic wines.

The class will be lead by cooks Alberto (Italian) and Ella (Australian) of Bear on Bike. With a focus on ´slow food´, they use local, seasonal and organic ingredients, and work towards a no-waste kitchen.
